Alright, this is oldschool, yo. A few years ago I found a tape my sister and I recorded in 1984, when we were 11. We were making up stories off the top of our heads, using stuffed animals and china animals as the principle characters. I transcribed one of the stories, drew pictures to accompany the action, and put it on my old website - a long time ago, at least five years, no more than 9. I just refound the files and have put them back online for you, my readers. There are three pages, and they end in a dead-end because I couldn't be bothered to put a link back here. Sorry. Use your browser's back button, people, it's not that hard.

The Runt!

That was funderful. Being something of an old school runt myself, I found the story hauntingly poignant. My favorite drawing is the one where the Runt is peering up at the big Mad Scientist marquee.

Holy shit, that changed my life! No, seriously, I'm in the middle of Finals Hell, and I just laughed my ass off, which is always helpful when 30 pages of goddamned literary analysis are looming in the not-so-distant future. Took me back to some very similiar tapes my gal pals and I did. I wish I knew where they were.

Thanks, man. Kids rule.

Gee, I hope I made it clear, I guess I didn't: The story was recorded when I was 11; I transcribed it and drew the drawings about 5 years ago. No way could I draw like that when I was 11...
