I am delurking to say how sorry I am about Wedge. I know you have to be feeling very sad today, and I am sorry you had to make such a painful decision. Sending good thoughts your way for comfort in knowing you made the right decision for Wedge!

I keep thinking about the zine you and Av did during college in which there was a Wedge page. And it was all about how sexy Wedge is/was. She had kittens before you adopted her, so she knew the ways of love. She was a beautiful and sweet cat.

Very sad to read the news. Take care.

So sorry Debi. I think you really did make the right decision. 16 is a normal age for a cat to live to, and prolonging life seems pretty artificial and difficult and would have been traumatic, traveling and meds and surgery and all that. I'm thinking loving thoughts for Wedge, and for you in this time of loss. Don't rush yourself to get over it, let yourself feel the pain as much as you can handle now so that you truly mourn. love, Avi

Oh, sweetie.

I haven't been around here lately and only just read the sad news.

I am so, so sorry. Wedge was such a beautiful girl, and I know what a hard decision it must have been for you. We just went through the same thing with our old gal, and we miss her every day.

Hubby and I are both thinking of you.

Ohhhh... I know this is a late, late comment, but as a cat lover, I'm always sorry to hear about things like this. Losing a pet is always so painful - they're our little animal friends. However and whenever they go, it's just not long enough, is it?
