Improv Everywhere's No Pants event yesterday ended up with the NYPD stopping the subway train and detaining six members of the pantsless — but it sounds like everyone had a great time anyway. The overzealous police action spurred people to chant "No pants is not a crime!" and, on the way home, sing "99 Pairs of Pants on the Train" (one person commented, "by the mid-80s, I knew we were going all the way"). I would have chanted "Hey hey! Ho ho! All y'all's pants have got to go!"
