You go, girl! I could totally see you writing this!

I mean, this letter is ... um ... Oh, wait. The link doesn't work. So I don't really know if this is like you at all. My bad.

I remember back when the Whole Foods near me was called Fresh Fields. I liked that name better, even though there was still a weird, elitist vibe going on.

These people recycled and bought so-called "whole" food because it offered status -- sort of like an organic, free-range BMW.

I refuse to pay an insane amount of money to gain membeship in a self serious Whole Foods inner circle. But I still love Trader Joe's.

** Sorry for the snarkyness earlier, and I hope things get easier.

No prob, Bob.

I feel way more comfortable in Trader Joe's. I think I'm a little too un-natural for Whole Foods. I mean, I use Advil for my cramps instead of willow bark or whatever the hell.

I will go there, though, just to get some nice fresh produce or meats, and also to get small amounts of peanut butter in bulk (I can never finish an entire jar). Luckily the Whole Foods is in a neighboring shopping plaza to Trader Joe's, so I can do both in one delicious trip.
